Dr. Brad Denton

Ph.D in English, Instructor, Creative Writing

Dr. Brad Denton has taught Creative Writing, World Literature, English 12, Honors British Literature 11, Honors English 10, English 9, English 8, English 6, Bible 8, Bible 7, Journeys in Literature, and Spanish I during his 18 years in secondary education, and he has taught Freshman Composition I, Freshman Composition II, and Developmental Writing at the college level. He earned a Ph.D. in English (dual specializations in Modernist Poetry and Creative Writing) from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA, a M.A. in English (World Literature) from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA, and a B.A. in English (Philosophy in Literature) from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. He lives in Duluth, GA with his wife, Jami, and their two children, Emma and Logan, where they attend Campus Church, and where he is a deacon and Sunday School teacher.  He enjoys reading, writing, attending AMA motorcycle road races, watching badly-acted action movies, singing off-key renditions of his favorite songs, and forcing his children to tour famous authors’ homes against their wills.
